BOOKING A FLIGHT

Bargain Flights from £39.99 each way

Pegasus Airlines this airline flies via Stansted and Istanbul and is currently one of the cheapests especially if booked early.

Cheap Flights to Izmir

Please check out this site before browsing the airlines detailed below. It offers the best deals offered by the airlines on the day that you check.

Direct Flights from UK to Izmir

British Airways

The great news for the 2006 season was that British airways started flying 3 times a week direct from Gatwick. You can fly on a Friday, Sunday or Monday and prices start from £141 return but you need to get in quick to get the best deals.

Charter Flights: The cheapest option would normally be to book a charter flight to Izmir, Adnan Menderes (ADB). The flights run from May to October on Thursdays. Prices can vary between £120 to over £350.

Normally the later the flight is booked the cheaper it becomes. However, with this route you run the risk of not being able to get a flight for the time you have booked. The most expensive times tend to be bank holidays or school

holidays.

Thomas Cook Airlines

First choice

First Choice started flying direct to Izmir from Gatwick in 2008 and are a welcome addition and will hopefully help keep competition and prices healthy.

Cyprus
Turkish Airlines

Scheduled Flights: It is also possible to get scheduled flights from Cyprus Turkish Airlines who offer a direct flight from Heathrow on Mondays and Saturdays, and Stansted airport on Fridays.

Other Airlines that Include a Stop Over in Germany
or Istanbul

Other airlines that fly to Izmir tend to include a stopover so may not be convenient. However it is sometimes possible to get a cheaper flight using this option especially with Lufthansa who appear to be cheaper in peak season than even Thomas Cook Airlines.

Lufthansa

Flying with Lufthansa involves a 50 min stop over in Germany. However do not rule them out as they are a scheduled airline so the seats tend to be more comfortable and meals and entertainment are included.

Lufthansa offer the best deals we have found for peak season and beat Thomas Cook, Cyprus Turkish and Turkish Airline hands down.

You can not always find the best deal on there website so let us do the digging for you.

Turkish Airlines

Turkish airlines stop over in Istanbul and are not normally as competitive as the other airlines but do offer a few superb deals along the way so still check them out.

During peak season between July and August the arrival day will be Thursdays but we can be more flexible depending on bookings during low season. Unlike charter flights the longer in advance you book a scheduled flight the cheaper is normally is. However, they can be more expensive ranging from £200 to £300. However, Child seats can be available at discounted
rates.

Transfers

Transfers to Villa Hanorah take approximately 2 hours from
Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. The following options for transfer are available
to you.

Personal Car Hire

Whilst car hire is not necessary to enjoy your stay at Villa
Hanorah, it will allow you to explore the region and the sites at your own
pace. Some of the local companies will pick you up and return you to the airport
free of charge if you hire a car for one week or more. Ask for this service
when negotiating your rate. Should you wish to hire a car, you may find the
details below useful. It is possible to book an air-conditioned car for about £125
per week so look around.

If you are worried about booking a car please do not be. It is almost impossible to get lost because the route is one straight road for 109 km out of 113km.

Transfers for up to 4 People

We can provide a transfer service for up to 4 people using a local taxi driver from Dikili. The price will be given on request as it can vary depending on the price of petrol at the time. However it will be cheaper than hiring a taxi from the airport which can be quite expensive. The price depends on the current exhange rate and petrol prices so contact us for a quote.

Transfer Service for Larger Parties

If you arriving out of these hours or have a larger party then the Toya Car Hire will be able to help. They provide transfers as well as car hire and are very reliable. Contact them directly for a quote and include your flight numbers and dates etc. Click here to access their website now.

Come to villa hanorah

Dikili is situated at the north of Izmir, and opposite the Greek Island of Lebos/Mitilini.
This charming county which is 120 km. away from Izmir, attracts Turkish tourists with its lovely beaches and clear water. The excavations revealed that the history of Dikili goes back to 4000-5000 B.C.

The drive into Dikili from Izmir (once out of the city) offers some spectacular scenery. For the most of the journey it is a straight road. Although the transfer is 2 hours I believe this is start of the holiday so try to book in daylight hours.

The scenery consists of mountains, olive groves, vineyards and cotton fields. See the people working the land; horses and carts are still widely in use. Alternatively, how about the sight of a tractor with about 20 workers hanging on for dear life. This is where you start to get a feel for real Turkish life.

Dikili is a seaside fishing town that is made up of mainly holiday villas and a few hotels. The charming centre with cobbled streets has restaurants, bars and shops.

Dikili becomes largely deserted in the winter, except for the die-hard residents that live there all year round.

In the summer months, Turkish tourists with summerhouses venture there for their holidays, and at weekends.
